What We'll Cover Over 12 Weeks

The program runs Saturday mornings and Tuesday evenings starting September 2025. Each session builds on the last, so you'll finish with a portfolio of work—not just notes.

1Understanding User Behavior

We start by watching how people actually use apps, not how we think they should. You'll conduct interviews and spot patterns that inform design decisions.

2Information Architecture

Good structure feels invisible. Bad structure makes people confused and frustrated. This module teaches you to organize content so people find what they need without thinking about it.

3Interaction Patterns

Buttons, gestures, feedback loops—the small stuff that makes or breaks an experience. We'll examine what works across different contexts and why some patterns stick while others flop.

4Visual Design Fundamentals

Color, typography, spacing. These aren't just aesthetic choices—they guide attention and communicate hierarchy. You'll learn to make interfaces that look intentional.

5Prototyping and Testing

The quickest way to learn if your idea works is to put something in front of users. We'll cover rapid prototyping techniques and how to run useful usability tests.

6Portfolio Development

Your work needs context to make sense to others. We'll help you document your process, explain your decisions, and present projects in a way that demonstrates thinking—not just pretty screens.
